This goes back to Chapter 18: Locker Room encounter. Quinn lost a match to Amir during a competition and the coach tried to punish Quinn with a severe beating (as he often does) but in Chapter 18: the three guys stand up to the coach and are able to knock him out. Then, not satisfied with ganging up on the coach, the three decide to find more victims to punish and dominate.
Yeah. The boys are no saints. They simply enjoy dominating other guys. And they don’t like losing. I would also imagine they use out of ring intimidation tactics to make their opponents lose their edge in actual competition.

They punish the coach I understand. But Amir beat Quinn in a fair fight!
